Like every other writer on the planet, I’m currently juggling journalism with the development of a few novels and scripts.
Having graduated from FdA Professional Writing with a Distinction, and a BA(Hons) in Creative Writing, I mainly concern myself with features, reviews, previews, comment, digital publishing and PR. This includes working for Lovarzi (PR, web copy, and blogging about Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Star Trek), and the technology site, MakeUseOf.
I’m the co-founder of The Doctor Who Companion (the DWC for short), so please check us out there. We started up in April 2016, so there’s quite a back-catalogue of articles for your perusal.
My favourite TV show is Doctor Who, of course, but I also love: Sherlock; Not Going Out; Spooks; The Simpsons; Mad Dogs; The US Office; An Idiot Abroad; The Armstrong and Miller Show; and – for my sins – Coach Trip.
I love TV, actually. It’s the business I want to be in; mainly as a writer, but I’d love to try out being a director and producer, too. My main inspiration is Steven Moffat. ‘Nuff Said.
But I also want to spread myself thinly. I want to be a prolific novelist and comic book writer as well. I’ve been a fan of Marvel Comics since the age of 3 (yes, really), have a regular comics column for Guide 2 Bristol and run the Make Mine A Marvel Omnibus blog.
I am also interested in art, history, medicine, and astronomy, although I’m open to anything, really.
